REDDING, Calif. – CVS Health will be delivering COVID-19 vaccines at dozen of CVS pharmacy locations across California starting Friday, February 12th.
Those currently eligible to receive the vaccine will need to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are not accepted.
Four branches in the state of North will participate in the first rollout. These include Gridley, Red Bluff, Redding, and Mt. Shasta. The company said more sites will go online as more vaccine doses become available.
Those wishing to get vaccinated must also be able to demonstrate, according to the CVS website, that they belong to the groups currently eligible for the vaccination, which currently includes healthcare workers and those 65 and over. CVS has emphasized that it will follow government eligibility criteria.
CVS Health has already entered into a federal pharmacy partnership and started delivering the vaccine to long-term care facilities across the state.
Patients must register in advance on CVS.com or through the CVS Pharmacy app. Individuals without online access can contact CVS Customer Service at 800-746-7287.
The CVS website was very busy Thursday morning. The site said it would always be refreshing and tell people, "We'll get you in soon."
